1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using Kaaladarshi, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use Kaaladarshi on behalf of an organization or submit information about another person, you represent that you have the authority and appropriate basis to do so.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms and meet the minimum age required for digital services where you live. Kaaladarshi is not directed to children under 13. Additional age or consent requirements may apply by jurisdiction.
3. Accounts, authentication, and responsibility
- Provide accurate account information and maintain control of the authentication method associated with your account.
- Do not share authentication credentials or attempt to access another person's account.
- Notify Kaaladarshi if you reasonably suspect unauthorized access or misuse.
- Kaaladarshi may require re-authentication, expire sessions, restrict access, or take protective action where reasonably necessary for security or service integrity.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.
4. The Kaaladarshi service
Kaaladarshi calculates and presents Jyotish charts and time periods, derives structured signals, and may generate interpretations, explanations, guidance, comparisons, and conversational answers using information provided by users and the service's methodologies.
Kaaladarshi is currently offered as a Beta service. The service may also include experimental, preview, free, paid, limited-access, provider-assisted, or region-specific features. Features, models, algorithms, rulesets, source collections, presentation methods, supported languages, limits, pricing, availability, and technical providers may change, be replaced, or be discontinued.
No interpretation guarantees that an event will occur, establishes causation, proves predictive accuracy, or objectively measures a person's character, future, compatibility, health, worth, or prospects.
5. Birth data, calculated results, and user-supplied information
Results depend on the information and calculation settings available to the service. Incorrect, approximate, incomplete, or changed birth information may materially affect outputs. Different Jyotish traditions or calculation choices may also produce different results.
You are responsible for reviewing important inputs and for understanding that calculated outputs and interpretive outputs are different layers. Kaaladarshi may version or update calculation engines and rulesets, and may preserve prior saved outputs while allowing newer results to be generated under updated methods.
6. Information about other people
Together and My People may let you enter information about partners, relatives, friends, colleagues, business partners, or others. You represent that you have an appropriate lawful and ethical basis to provide and use that information.
Do not use Kaaladarshi to surveil, harass, discriminate against, manipulate, threaten, or make consequential decisions about another person. Do not submit information that infringes privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, contractual, or other rights.
7. Your content and saved conversations
You retain rights you have in information you submit. You grant Kaaladarshi a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, transform, transmit, and display that information as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, personalize, and improve the service in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Saved answers may represent the response generated at a particular point in time and may be preserved as historical artifacts rather than silently regenerated when models or rules change.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Kaaladarshi to:
- violate law, commit fraud, deceive, exploit, harm, harass, threaten, or discriminate against another person;
- make medical, legal, financial, employment, insurance, housing, credit, safety, or similarly consequential decisions solely or primarily from Kaaladarshi output;
- probe, scan, exploit, bypass, or interfere with security, authorization, rate limits, infrastructure, or service availability;
- introduce malware, automated abuse, excessive load, or unauthorized scraping;
- reverse engineer, extract, reproduce, train on, resell, or commercially exploit protected service elements except where applicable law expressly permits;
- misrepresent generated content as verified fact, professional advice, guaranteed prediction, or an official statement by a third party.
9. No professional or emergency advice
Kaaladarshi is not a medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, investment, employment, relationship, emergency, or safety service. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, provide legal representation, execute investments, assess creditworthiness, or determine whether a person should remain in or leave a dangerous situation.
For urgent health or safety concerns, contact qualified professionals or appropriate local emergency resources. Do not delay or stop professional care because of a Kaaladarshi interpretation.
10. AI-generated and automated content
Some explanations, translations, summaries, and conversational responses may be generated with AI systems. AI outputs can be incomplete, inconsistent, overly broad, or wrong, even when the underlying chart data is correct.
Kaaladarshi may change AI models and providers over time. Users should inspect the underlying calculated context where available and independently verify information that matters to consequential decisions.
11. Traditional knowledge, practices, and future suggestions
Kaaladarshi may describe classical Jyotish concepts, later traditions, reflective practices, or traditional practices. Such material may vary across schools, communities, and practitioners and should not be treated as universally authoritative.
If future features suggest services, providers, products, temples, teachers, practitioners, charitable organizations, or other third parties, the underlying Jyotish recommendation should remain separate from commercial provider availability. Third-party services may have their own fees, terms, qualifications, and risks.
12. Intellectual property
Kaaladarshi and its licensors retain rights in the brand, software, visual design, documentation, product copy, original editorial content, data structures, protected methods, and other intellectual property. Classical or public-domain source materials remain subject to their applicable rights and provenance.
These Terms provide a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for lawful purposes. They do not transfer ownership of Kaaladarshi intellectual property.
13. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide product feedback, suggestions, or ideas, Kaaladarshi may use them to improve or develop the service without obligation to compensate you, provided use of feedback remains subject to the Privacy Policy and does not require public disclosure of private account content.
14. Third-party services
Kaaladarshi may depend on third-party hosting, databases, authentication, AI, analytics, communications, security, mapping, geocoding, or other services. Independent third-party sites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Kaaladarshi is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control and may replace providers without materially changing these Terms where permitted.
15. Availability, changes, and beta features
The service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, limited, or unavailable because of maintenance, failures, provider outages, security events, legal requirements, capacity, experiments, or product changes.
During Beta, the service and Beta or preview features may be less reliable than a mature generally available service, may change without notice, and may be removed. Kaaladarshi does not promise permanent availability of any specific feature, model, provider, language, calculation presentation, or free usage level.
16. Free and future paid services
Some features may be offered free of charge. Kaaladarshi may introduce paid subscriptions, one-time purchases, provider services, usage limits, or other commercial offerings in the future. Pricing and specific purchase terms will be presented before a user is charged.
Unless stated otherwise for a particular paid offering, these Terms apply to both free and paid use.
17. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaaladarshi is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, guaranteed outcomes, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that every interpretation, translation, source association, or generated response will be correct.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kaaladarshi and its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, opportunity, goodwill, data, or business; or decisions made in reliance on interpretive content.
Any aggregate liability that cannot legally be excluded may be limited to the greater of the amount paid by you to Kaaladarshi for the relevant service during the twelve months preceding the claim or another minimum amount required by applicable law. This section does not limit liability where limitation is prohibited.
19. Responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or losses arising from your unlawful misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or unauthorized submission or use of another person's information. Any formal indemnification obligation may depend on applicable law and the context of the claim.
20. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of eligible account data as described in the Data Deletion page.
Kaaladarshi may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful activity, material violation of these Terms, abuse, nonpayment of future paid services, operational reasons, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate, reasonable notice may be provided.
21. Governing law and disputes
Applicable law, mandatory consumer protections, and jurisdictional rules may affect how a dispute is handled. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. Kaaladarshi may identify additional dispute procedures or venue terms for particular paid offerings, regions, or operating entities through applicable supplemental terms.
Before formal escalation, users are encouraged to contact Kaaladarshi so that account, privacy, billing, or product issues can be investigated directly.
22. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may change as the service, business model, law, technology, or risk profile evolves. Material changes may be communicated through the service, email, or another reasonable channel.
Where required, additional consent may be requested. Otherwise, continued use after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
23. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the Contact page or to support@kaaladarshi.com.
